September is getting busy, but this week’s useful local news is mostly about getting around. I’ve kept this one short: two traffic heads-ups for the commute, three worthwhile outings, and a pair of September dates worth putting on the calendar now.
📍 Two Things to Know
🚧 Beardslee lane closures
Sep. 8–25 · Weekdays, 9 a.m.–3 p.m. · Beardslee Blvd.
Sound Transit will close lanes between NE 185th Street and 110th Avenue NE for utility-location work. Expect traffic shifts and possible left-turn restrictions; driveways are expected to remain open.
🌅 20th Avenue SE closure
Thursday and Friday (Sep. 10–11) · 4–6 a.m. · Northbound 20th Ave SE
The right lane will close between the Romac building and the Bus Operations and Maintenance Facility site for equipment deliveries. Sound Transit also lists September 21 and 22 as future closure dates.
