📍 Three Things to Know
🚧 Coming home from the south? Expect I-405 delays
All northbound I-405 lanes will close from NE 70th Place to NE 85th Street from 11 p.m. Friday, August 28, to 4 a.m. Monday, August 31.
No Bothell lanes are closing, but trips home from Kirkland or Bellevue could face detours and heavy backups. The work is weather dependent.
🔌 City Hall EV charging will no longer be free
Starting September 1, the public chargers on level P1 will cost $0.34 per kWh, plus $5 per idle hour after charging and a 30-minute grace period. Put another way, taking a Tesla from roughly 20% to 80% would cost about $12–$16, depending on the model.
🎒 Two checks before Northshore starts school
Grades 1–5, 6 and 9 generally start September 1; most other middle and high school students start September 2. Kindergarten and some program schedules vary.
Families can now check bus routes through E-Link. Existing ParentVUE and StudentVUE mobile users should also download the new Edupoint apps; current login credentials still work.

🏠 Housing-plan feedback closes Monday
Comments on Bothell's draft Housing Action Plan are due August 31. The plan will guide the City's approach to housing availability, affordability and variety over the next 20 years.
🌙 Worth Doing This Week
🌘 Thursday's partial lunar eclipse
August 27 · Moonrise around 7:50 p.m. · Maximum at 9:12 p.m.
If skies cooperate, look low toward the east-southeast after moonrise. The eclipse should become easier to see as the moon climbs, with the partial phase ending around 10:51 p.m.
🎬 The final City movie of summer
Up · Friday, August 28 · Around 8:30 p.m. · North Creek Sportsfields, Field 3 · Free
Bring a blanket or low-back chair. Outside food and nonalcoholic drinks are allowed; pets are not allowed on the grass field except service animals.

📚 Finish that Book Bingo card
Adult Summer Book Bingo entries are due by 6 p.m. Tuesday, September 8. Readers 18 and older can submit a completed card at any KCLS branch or online.
